ConnectOne Bank in Locust Valley, NY is seeking a Banking Relationship Specialist to acquire, retain, and grow commercial and consumer relationships. You will champion ConnectOne’s client-first culture by cross-selling products, opening accounts, and delivering exemplary service at the branch.

You’ll collaborate with team members to meet sales goals, ensure compliance, and support operations while providing a seamless banking experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong needs-based sales skills.
• One to three years bank platform sales and teller experience.
• Detailed understanding of federal banking compliance and requirements.
• Strong ability in assessing and meeting customer needs.
• Effective teambuilding and interpersonal communication abilities are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for relationship acquisition and cross-sell bank products.
• Open deposit accounts and educate clients on services.
• Ensure transactions comply with security and control procedures.
• Handle service issues with ownership and follow-up.
• Support branch team operations and coaching to improve performance.
• Assist with teller functions and branch opening/closing as needed.
• Contribute to achieving branch sales objectives.
