Job summary

5 West Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Columbus, OH to handle day-to-day operations of assigned multi-family properties. The role focuses on maximizing asset value and occupancy while maintaining tenant satisfaction.

You will oversee site operations, manage leasing inquiries, support marketing and maintenance efforts, and supervise staff and contractors. Spanish fluency is preferred to assist a diverse tenant base.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Property Manager in multi-family housing is required.
• Strong understanding of property management best practices and financials.
• Proficient in MS Office and property management software.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in speaking Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations of multi-family properties ensuring smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company regulations.
• Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants.
• Respond to leasing leads in real time via phone and email.
• Support marketing, leasing, maintenance, and rent collection efforts.
• Supervise onsite staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Negotiate contracts with contractors in a timely and reliable manner.
• Help manage budgets, control expenses, and support revenue growth.
• Work closely with Property Manager to meet performance goals.
