Job summary

Office Hours is hiring a Growth Engineer to build the systems that bring people to Office Hours and help them get value quickly. You’ll work across signup flows, experiments, and instrumentation to diagnose where users get stuck on both sides of our two-sided marketplace.

You’ll collaborate with marketing, product, and design, ship rapid prototypes using AI coding tools, and own end-to-end growth experiments from idea to impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Able to work across the stack.
• Tenacious, moves fast: iterates when experiments don’t move the numbers.
• Take initiative: spot opportunities and drive them forward.
• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, or funnel instrumentation.
• Comfortable with SQL and product analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship growth surfaces: landing pages, signup, onboarding, and funnels on both marketplace sides.
• Run experiments end to end: set up the test, ship it, measure it, and kill non-performers.
• Improve instrumentation and feature-flag infrastructure for fast tests.
• Instrument the funnel to identify drop-offs and share insights with the team.
• Build internal tooling and automations to speed growth and marketing.
• Use AI coding tools to prototype and ship quickly with quality.
