Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos in Dallas is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations, ensuring top guest experiences and consistent food safety. You may serve as a key holder, opening/closing the restaurant and securing the facility, while delegating tasks to keep the shift running smoothly.

You will assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members, maintaining FOH/BOH processes, and supporting inventory, prep, line checks, and cash handling. Flexibility for varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, guest service, and operations.
• Required ServSafe Manager and state alcohol-server certifications.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain operational excellence.
• Open/close responsibilities as a key holder and secure the facility.
• Delegate tasks to maintain smooth shift operations.
• Engage with guests and address concerns with urgency.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members.
• Maintain knowledge of FOH/BOH processes, food safety, and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management, prep levels, and line checks.
• Supervise cash handling during opening and closing.
• Complete safety and regulatory checklists.
• Resolve issues with professionalism and escalate when needed.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
