Job summary

Hydrex Pest Control of San Diego is seeking an experienced Customer Service Scheduler / Dispatcher to join our team. This role coordinates schedules, supports technician routing, processes reports, and delivers exceptional service to customers.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of scheduling, dispatching, or routing experience.
• Experience in pest control, termite, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, or similar field-service is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced office environment.
• Strong scheduling and dispatching skills for field staff.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities with accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong phone presence with a friendly, patient and professional demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort with learning CRM, scheduling, routing, and communication systems.
• Calm, solution-focused approach to handling difficult situations.
• Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and interest in long-term growth with the company.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily and weekly service schedules for field technicians.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments based on technician availability, location, and customer preferences.
• Build efficient routes to minimize drive time and boost productivity.
• Adjust schedules in real time for cancellations, delays, or emergencies.
• Maintain clear communication with technicians regarding changes and updates.
• Create and update work orders as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling and routing processes.
• Support routing technology usage within PestPac.
• Answer calls and respond to emails and inquiries professionally and timely.
• Assist customers with service questions, scheduling needs, and account information.
• Maintain accurate customer records and notes in PestPac.
• Process WDO reports and other termite department documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the office and field teams.
• Assist with billing questions and account inquiries.
• Collaborate with Office Manager and field technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Take ownership of responsibilities and contribute to process improvements.
