Job summary

TikTok Shop in Los Angeles is seeking a Category Manager for Food & Beverage to drive growth with merchants and lead category initiatives. You will identify and incubate merchants, craft collaborative models, and allocate platform resources to accelerate merchant development.

Reporting to cross-functional teams, you will align incentives and execute initiatives to boost sales, GMV, and promotional opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in e-commerce business.
• Track record of delivering & exceeding sales, GMV, or other commercial goals.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• A good team player, a fast learner, and open to changes.
• Familiar with TikTok and other content platforms; experience in content-based e-commerce is highly preferred.
• Strong connections with brands and distributors are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and incubate merchants to support category growth
• Discover innovative collaborative models that align to the merchant's short-term and long-term development plans, and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently
• Solve key challenges in business growth by strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Employ a consultative approach by offering strategic content, operations, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistics solutions to all sellers
• Update active sellers on TikTok Shop product developments and new promotional opportunities
