Job summary

TA Dedicated is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead strategic sales in Transportation & Logistics. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, executing outbound campaigns, qualifying inbound leads, and converting opportunities into partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Transportation and/or Logistics.
• 6+ years of business development or sales leadership experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics.
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, expanding market share and exceeding targets.
• Excellent leadership, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, communication and business writing abilities with all levels of stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic outbound prospecting plans (cold calling, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Qualify and nurture inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns.
• Identify and target key accounts aligned with service offerings.
• Build a strong pipeline of opportunities and progress them through the sales funnel.
• Deliver persuasive presentations to prospective customers and manage the sales process through close.
• Collaborate with marketing to optimize messaging and campaign effectiveness.
