Job summary

FireRock Luxury Building Materials, a Birmingham-based provider of luxury building products, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own recruiting searches across the organization. You will partner with leadership to identify, engage, and hire candidates for sales, manufacturing, operations, and support.

You will learn the business, craft targeted sourcing plans, and evaluate candidates’ experience and fit.

Qualifications

• A track record of proactively sourcing candidates and managing searches from intake through hire.
• Experience recruiting sales, manufacturing, operations, or professional roles; building materials or related industry experience is preferred.
• Strong interviewing skills and the judgment to distinguish a polished interview from evidence of performance.
• Confidence reaching out to candidates who are not actively looking and explaining why an opportunity may be worth considering.
• Excellent organization, clear communication, and consistent follow-through across multiple searches.
• The ability to work independently, adjust your approach, and stay persistent when a search is difficult.
• Comfort working directly with leadership in a growing business where priorities can change.

Responsibilities

• Own recruiting searches across FireRock, working directly with leadership to identify, engage, and hire strong candidates.
• Lead the hiring process from sourcing through offer acceptance, providing leadership with well-supported recommendations and driving each search to completion.
• Build a clear plan for each search by understanding hiring priorities, role responsibilities, candidate requirements, and success metrics.
• Develop job descriptions, candidate profiles, and sourcing plans tailored to each role and market.
• Find and engage strong candidates, building pipelines and evaluating sourcing results to advance searches.
• Maintain accurate pipelines, interview notes, and next steps in a shared recruiting system; lead weekly pipeline reviews.
