Job summary

POLITICO is seeking a Business Development Associate to join the New Business side of the Professional Subscriptions sales team in Arlington, VA. You will help drive revenue by identifying high-quality leads and initiating conversations for Account Executives.

Responsibilities include prospect research, engagement across channels, and preparing impactful materials for meetings, while delivering a superior client experience throughout the evaluation process.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience in sales, business development, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (B.A./B.S.).
• Experience with outbound prospecting and customer communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify quality leads and inform outreach strategy for Account Executives.
• Engage prospects via inbound and outbound channels, including cold outreach.
• Schedule meetings with key decision-makers and prepare materials for sales conversations.
• Support Account Executives throughout the evaluation process to ensure a positive client experience.
