Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Manager of Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts and partner with PLG Product Managers and Engineers across the customer journey, from acquisition to expansion. The role blends hands-on analysis with strategic leadership to shape analytics capabilities and drive product-led growth at scale.

You will define questions, metrics, and success criteria, and build self-service analytics assets while collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data

Qualifications

• Experience in product analytics or growth analytics in a software/SaaS environment.
• Experience designing or interpreting product experiments and A/B tests.
• Strong SQL skills and working with complex data across sources.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar for analysis.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake/dbt).
• Ability to define metrics and measurement plans with Product/Engineering.
• Experience building dashboards and self-service analytics assets.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication.

Responsibilities

• Understand PLG journey performance and identify friction points and opportunities.
• Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to drive self-service bookings and growth.
• Partner with PLG PMs and Engineers to define questions, hypotheses, goals, and metrics.
• Lead and develop a growth-analytics team through coaching and career development.
• Establish measurement for the PLG funnel: acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.
• Analyze customer behavior with segmentation, cohorts, funnels, and retention studies.
• Design measurement plans for initiatives and experiments, with guardrails and instrumentation.
• Improve analytics quality with clear metric definitions, event tracking, and dashboards.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and document findings.
