Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Manager, Growth Analytics to lead a team of analysts and partner with PLG Product Managers and Engineers across the customer journey, from acquisition and trial through activation, conversion, retention, and expansion.

This role blends hands‑on analytics with strategic leadership to shape measurement plans, dashboards, and the analytics operating model that empower product teams to make data‑driven decisions at scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in product analytics, growth analytics, or data science in SaaS.
• Experience designing/measuring product experiments and A/B tests.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex data from multiple sources.
• Experience with Python, R, or similar for analysis.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake, dbt) and data visualization tools.
• Ability to define metrics and measurement plans in collaboration with product/engineer teams.
• Experience building dashboards and self-service analytics assets with Looker/Tableau/Amplitude.

Responsibilities

• Understand PLG journey performance and identify friction points and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to enable self-service bookings and growth.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to define questions, hypotheses, goals, and success metrics.
• Lead and coach a team of growth analysts and drive career development.
• Define measurement for the PLG funnel: acquisition, activation, retention, expansion, and customer value.
• Analyze customer behavior using segmentation, cohorts, funnels, retention, and experiments.
• Create measurement plans for initiatives and experiments, including instrumentation and interpretation of results.
• Improve product analytics quality with standardized metrics, event tracking, dashboards, and reusable datasets.
