Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a field-based sales professional to grow agricultural inputs sales with growers in Kentucky. Develop new prospects, manage accounts, and work to exceed sales and profit margin goals while ensuring on-time delivery and product quality.

Ideal candidates have a university degree (or 5+ years in agriculture), 2+ years in ag sales, and proficiency with Word/Excel. CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years agriculture experience in lieu of degree preferred
• 2+ years’ experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry
• Class A CDL preferred or willing to obtain with Hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and basic computer programs

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with growers to increase agricultural inputs sales and meet sales goals
• Ensure customer satisfaction with on-time delivery and product quality
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales of proprietary products
• Consult with growers on issues and provide actions to resolve problems
• Perform initial credit review of customers and communicate with Credit Manager to set credit limits
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers
• Perform other duties as assigned
