Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a Group Supervisor for the South Florida Youth Academy in Miami, FL. This role focuses on safety, supervision, and maintaining a positive environment for youth in our care.

You will ensure adherence to schedules, staff-to-student ratios per licensing requirements, and a supportive atmosphere that promotes growth and engagement for the youths served.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma.
• Internal applicants must possess 1 year Direct Care experience and complete Initial Qualifications (Tech 22) Training as well as Operations, Treatment and Human Resources Essential Subjects prior to placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program.
• Ensure staff-to-student ratio adheres to licensing standards.
• Ensure the facility and daily schedule are followed and students participate in all scheduled activities.
• Operate shifts effectively to maintain adequate coverage and continuity of care.

As a Group Supervisor you’ll provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students. Ensures staff and students adheres to the facility and daily schedule, ensures that the facility (unit, cottage, house, room, dorm, etc.) is on time for all elements and the students participate in all of the scheduled activities. Operates assigned shifts effectively and efficiently while maintaining the proper staff to student ratio for coverage according to licensing standards.
