Job summary

The Oaks Academy in Brownwood, Texas is seeking a Group Supervisor to provide leadership to Direct Juvenile Support Workers and supervise Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors. You will work across units and education spaces, ensuring staff-to-student ratios and program adherence.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years of age, and successful completion of background, drug, TB, and abuse registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper staff-to-student ratio and ensure adherence to schedules and program elements.
• Serve as a role model and uphold ROP programming in daily operations.

Pay: $48,000/annually depending on relevant education and experience

What you will do: A Group Supervisor is considered a lead mentor to the Direct Juvenile Support Workers, providing direction and supervision to both staff and students. The Group Supervisor will directly supervise Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors while being within the mix with them on the units, in Education, and anywhere else where there is ROP activity. This position does exercise authority in ensuring staff and students adhere to the facility and daily schedules, including being on time and participation in all program elements required. As a Group Supervisor, you will work on the same schedule as the Coach Counselors and effectively maintain the proper staff to student ratio for coverage. This position requires you to be a role model for staff and students, leading by example and modeling ROP programming.
