Job summary

Nelnet’s NextGen portfolio seeks a seasoned Group Product Manager who will own one or more NextGen solutions end to end. You will lead discovery, write requirements, ship with engineering and design, and mentor a small team of Product Managers.

You will shape a cohesive strategy across NextGen’s portfolio, collaborate with sales, implementation, and client support, and align roadmaps with institutional needs while exploring practical AI applications to reduce staff workload and improve the

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping products
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers
• Experience partnering with go‑to‑market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products
• Track record of personally shipping AI-enabled or data‑driven software with measurable business impact
• Proven ability to align and influence stakeholders across engineering, design, and commercial functions
• Experience in higher education technology, fintech, payments, or B2B2C platform businesses (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio
