Job summary

Nelnet’s NextGen portfolio seeks a Group Product Manager to own one or more solutions end to end, guiding discovery, requirements, and delivery with engineering and design partners. You will lead and grow a small PM team, shaping a cohesive strategy across NextGen solutions and aligning with sales, implementation, and client support.

You will identify opportunities to connect workflows and data across solutions, build AI-enabled applications, and monitor HE landscape to refine the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping products, including 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.
• Track record of shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable business impact.
• Familiarity with PCI Level 1 compliance, payment processing workflows, or ERP integrations (Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague).

Responsibilities

• Own one or more NextGen solutions end to end—discovery, requirements, prioritization, and shipping with engineering/design partners.
• Coach PMs and grow a small team of Product Managers, setting expectations and recruiting talent.
• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio and connect multiple solutions.
