Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Group Product Manager for NextGen portfolio leadership. You will personally own one or more NextGen solutions—driving discovery, writing requirements, prioritizing, and shipping with engineering and design partners.

You’ll mentor a small PM team, shape a cohesive product strategy, and align cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact results for colleges, staff, and students. You will identify AI opportunities, monitor higher education trends, and ensure compliant, scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping products yourself and 1+ year mentoring or directly managing other PMs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio.
• Lead a small team of Product Managers and mentor their craft.
• Partner with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support to plan launches.
• Collaborate with engineering on architecture, cadence, and delivery.
• Define success metrics and drive outcomes across adoption and satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to connect solutions and apply AI to reduce manual work.
