Job summary

Nelnet's NextGen portfolio is seeking a Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions end-to-end—from discovery to shipping—while leading a small team of Product Managers. You will align engineering, design, sales, and client support to deliver high-impact releases that drive value for colleges, employers, and students.

You will define strategy, identify cross-portfolio opportunities, and push for AI-enabled, data-driven experiences that reduce manual work for campus staff.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products.
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.
• Track record shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more NextGen solutions end-to-end—discovery, requirements, prioritization, and shipping with engineering and design partners.
• Lead and grow a small team of Product Managers, setting expectations and coaching craft.
• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support to plan launches and ensure market readiness.
