Nelnet’s NextGen portfolio is seeking a Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions, run discovery, write requirements, and ship with engineering and design partners. You will lead and grow a small team of Product Managers, aligning across engineering, design, sales, implementation, and client support to drive real campus impact.

You should bring 6+ years in product management, a track record of AI‑enabled or data‑driven product delivery, and demonstrated ability to influence

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of shipping products yourself.
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers.
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS or platform products.
• Track record of shipping AI‑enabled or data‑driven software with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio, translating business goals into a sequenced plan delivering value to institutions and students.
• Lead one or more NextGen solutions end to end—discovery, requirements, prioritization, and collaboration with engineering and design.
• Mentor and grow a small team of Product Managers, setting expectations and developing talent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (sales, marketing, implementation, client support) to plan launches and ensure market readiness.
