Job summary

Nelnet's NextGen portfolio is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead a small team of PMs, own one or more NextGen solutions end to end, and drive cohesive strategy across the portfolio. You will guide discovery, write requirements, and ship with engineering and design partners while aligning with cross‑functional teams.

You will own the product vision, roadmap, and opportunities to apply AI, ensuring value for institutions and students.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products.
• Experience mentoring or managing other Product Managers.
• Experience launching complex SaaS or platform products with GTM teams.
• Track record shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of Product Managers.
• Partner with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support to plan launches.
• Collaborate with engineering on architecture, delivery cadence, and timelines.
• Define success metrics and drive outcomes across adoption and retention.
