Nelnet's NextGen portfolio seeks a Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions end to end—driving discovery, writing requirements, and shipping with engineering and design partners.

You will lead a small PM team, set the product strategy and roadmap, and collaborate with sales, implementation, and client support to deliver AI-enabled, data-driven improvements for colleges, universities, and students.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers
• Experience partnering with go-to-market teams to launch complex SaaS/platform products
• Track record of shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable impact
• Ability to align and influence engineering, design, and commercial stakeholders
• Higher education tech / fintech / payments experience (preferred)
• Platform modernization or migration experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with PCI Level 1, payment workflows, ERP integrations (preferred)

Aufgaben

• Own one or more NextGen solutions end to end—discovery, requirements, prioritization, partnering with engineering and design to ship
• Analyze data, prototype, pressure-test ideas, validate solutions with financial aid and campus admins
• Model discovery, writing, and decision-making to set the bar for PM craft
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of Product Managers
• Foster high-agency, outcome-oriented culture with lightweight product practices
• Balance hands-on coaching with autonomy for PMs
• Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio
• Identify opportunities to connect the portfolio for greater overall value
• Develop AI applications across the portfolio to reduce manual work for campus staff
• Monitor higher education landscape and feed insights into the roadmap
• Partner with sales, marketing, implementation, and client support for launches
• Collaborate with engineering on architecture and delivery cadence
• Define success metrics across the portfolio and drive outcomes
• Ensure releases meet compliance and security standards
