Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Group Product Manager for NextGen, a hands-on leader who will own one or more NextGen solutions end-to-end, from discovery to shipping, while growing a team of Product Managers.

You will shape the portfolio strategy, align with engineering, design, sales, and client support, and drive AI-enabled capabilities to reduce manual work for campus staff and improve student experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping products.
• 1+ years mentoring or directly managing other Product Managers.
• Proven experience shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the NextGen portfolio.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of Product Managers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute launches that are market-ready and commercially successful.
• Define success metrics across the portfolio and hold the team accountable to outcomes.
