Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Group Manager Logistics I to oversee financial, operational and personnel aspects of multiple accounts. You will drive profitable retention and growth while meeting safety, employee and customer satisfaction goals.

With a strong emphasis on leadership and process improvement, you will guide CLS/CLC teams, ensure KPI performance, and support continuous professional development within a Fortune 500 organization with 85+ years of history and global reach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
Master’s degree in related field is preferred.
5+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
5+ years in managing, leading and developing direct reports is preferred.
5+ years in managing large multi-level teams.
3+ years in logistics project management and implementation.

Responsibilities

Set goals, assess skills, create IDPs, develop employees, evaluate performance and document progress.
Develop direct and indirect reports, train staff, and ensure effective recruitment.
Create and optimize location processes and cross-train CLS/CLC.
Monitor customer satisfaction, KPI tracking and staff training in Transportation/Distribution Management.
Improve employee retention and reduce accidents; review overtime and safety reporting.
Initiate and improve location processes; conduct self-audits and accountability checks.
Handle SOX invoice reconciliation and revenue recognition prep as applicable.
