Group Home Supervisor (N-ICF) – Regular
We are hiring for a Group Home Supervisor (N-ICF) in a regular position. You will supervise and coordinate activities of Direct Support employees and manage operations of 1–3 facilities providing Non‑ICF services. You will lead and direct the work of Direct Support Associates and be responsible for the operations of the assigned locations.
REPORTS TO
IDD Residential Team Leader or above.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting implementation of person‑centered plans.
- Spend adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees and clients while serving as a positive role model.
- Provide audits for medication administration.
- Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events.
- Monitor select budget items and stay within guidelines.
- Provide after‑hours and on‑call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on‑call coverage as needed.
- Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification.
- CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly required to lift 30 lbs.; must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Required to stand and walk regularly.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level requiring working on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
PRE‑EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
- Complete criminal background check, name checked in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required).
- Positions that require driving: Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.
