Group Home Manager (Regular)

We are hiring for a positive and personable individual to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. The role involves a variety of administrative, training, and personnel functions, including conducting unit investigations for compliance and allegations of abuse, monitoring the unit’s quality assurance system, and assisting the Administrator with the development and oversight of services.

Reporting To

IDD Regional Operations Director

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises IDD Residential Team Leaders, Direct Support Program Managers, Group Home Supervisors, and Direct Support Professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite the implementation of person‑centered plans.
• Provide shift coverage during acute shortages of direct support staff.
• Serve as on‑call coverage for people supported and provide services as needed.
• Collaborate with Qualified Professionals and other clinical staff to improve team efficiency.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule and availability for on‑call coverage.
• CPR, first aid, NCI, and/or MedTech certification is a plus.
• Minimum age 18 years.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs.; occasionally pull at least 40 lbs.
• Must squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of job duties.
• Use hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level, requiring hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
• Meet vision and hearing requirements; Deaf and Hard of Hearing program employees must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
