IDD Group Homes Program Manager (Regular)

We are hiring a positive and personable individual to lead and coordinate care and operations for our group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health and substance use challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Direct Support employees, and manage operations, staffing, and budget of assigned facilities.
  • Conduct unit investigations for compliance and allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
  • Coordinate and monitor the unit’s quality assurance system.
  • Assist the Administrator with the development of services and oversight of the unit.
  • Take rotating on‑call responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain a system that integrates basic developmental care and programming services.
  • Interview and hire Direct Support Professionals.
  • Create employee schedules ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
  • Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to provide communication, feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite implementation of person‑centered plans.
  • Provide shift coverage during acute shortages of direct support staff and perform on‑call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
  • Partner with the Worker’s Compensation team to ensure prompt reporting and investigation of employee injuries, provide necessary safety training, and coach employees on safe practices.
  • Monitor shifts and basic developmental care to ensure legislative, health, and sanitary standards are met.
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance Assessment system (Mealtime, Environmental, Interaction, and Third Shift assessments).
  • Interview, hire, coach, and terminate employees as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to talk and hear.
