Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Group Home Supervisor to lead Direct Support staff and manage operations, staffing, and budgets for 1–3 ICF/IDD facilities. You will work with a healthcare team to support individuals in a safe, nurturing home environment and ensure adherence to person-centered plans.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of experience with the population, with college courses in Human Services or Management preferred.

  • Requires a High School Diploma and one year of experience working with the population served.
  • College training and/or management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 20–50 lbs, CPR certification after training.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and implement person-centered plans.
  • Monitor staff across all shifts and provide feedback to maintain respectful interactions with people supported.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address employee issues.
  • Ensure training requirements are met and attend required events.
  • Monitor select budget items and stay within guidelines.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
  • Foster a safe, clean, and nurturing home environment for individuals served.

Group Home Supervisor

Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing and budget of 1-3 ICF/IDD facility/facilities assigned. Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard. Typically reports to the Administrator of a location or a Qualified Professional.
Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: Requires a High School Diploma and one year of experience working with the population served and competency in supervisory skills. College training and/or management experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting the implementation of person-centered plans
  • Spending adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees clients while serving as a positive role model
  • Resolving employee issues and conducting performance reviews
  • Ensuring that employees meet training requirements and attend required events
  • Monitoring select budget items and staying within guidelines
  • Monitoring and providing feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported
  • Providing after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
Requirements
  • High School degree or GED required; college courses in Human Services, Social Work or Management, preferred
  • 1 year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid drivers’ license and automotive insurance
  • Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
  • Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification, a plus
Pre-employment screening:
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
