The position assists with recruiting, onboarding, training, and overseeing contracted and substitute instructors while ensuring a diverse, safe, and engaging schedule of group exercise offerings. The coordinator also teaches classes as needed, reviews participation trends, and collaborates with the Fitness Supervisor to maintain high program standards and strong member satisfaction.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience teaching group fitness.
Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent).CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification required within 6 months of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, Recreation, Exercise Science, or related field. Supervisory experience.
