The City of Pflugerville is seeking a Group Exercise Coordinator for the Monarch Recreation Center. This role leads the group fitness program, recruits and trains instructors, and organizes a diverse, safe schedule. The coordinator also teaches when needed to support program continuity.
Responsibilities include monitoring participation trends, reporting to the Fitness Supervisor, and maintaining high standards and member satisfaction while ensuring safety and quality in all activities.
The Group Exercise Coordinator leads, schedules, and supports the group fitness program at the Monarch Recreation Center. The position assists with recruiting, onboarding, training, and overseeing contracted and substitute instructors while ensuring a diverse, safe, and engaging schedule of group exercise offerings. The coordinator also teaches classes as needed, reviews participation trends, and collaborates with the Fitness Supervisor to maintain high program standards and strong member satisfaction.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience teaching group fitness.
Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Group Fitness Instructor (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent).CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification required within 6 months of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, Recreation, Exercise Science, or related field. Supervisory experience.
