Monarch Recreation Center is seeking a Personal Trainer to deliver individualized fitness assessments and tailored programs. You will provide one-on-one coaching to members, motivate progress, and ensure safe, effective workouts while maintaining a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities include evaluating client needs, guiding on the fitness floor, and contributing to revenue through training sales. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is preferred.
Under the supervision of the Fitness Coordinator, the Personal Trainer provides individualized fitness assessments, personalized training programs, and one-on-one coaching for members of the Monarch Recreation Center. The position ensures safe, effective, and motivating exercise experiences while helping members work toward their fitness goals.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of personal training. One (1) year of experience in the fitness or exercise industry.
CPR, AED, and First Aid. Exercise certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, Cooper Institute, or equivalent), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or Group Fitness Instructor credential.
Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
