The Fitness Specialist supports daily operations of the fitness floor by assisting patrons, monitoring equipment usage, maintaining a welcoming environment, and supporting athletic and recreation programming. The position ensures participant safety and excellent customer service.
Must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in high school or have completed high school/GED.
Experience with fitness or weight room equipment through employment, athletics, training, or other relevant experience.
CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, Recreation, Exercise Science, or related field. Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor. Current group exercise certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, Cooper Institute, or equivalent).
