Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Groundsperson/Tree Groundsman in Stevenson, WA. The role involves ground-level work to clear brush and trees, assist with job-site cleanup, and support the crew dispatched by IBEW. Safety, physical stamina, and reliable outdoor performance are essential.

Responsibilities include operating basic equipment, loading debris, setting up signs, and assisting with storm restoration tasks as needed. This is a union-represented position with benefits and standard PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and use tools in uneven terrain.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must wear necessary PPE.
• Driver’s License required if driving.
• Able to comprehend verbal job instructions.
• Must have endurance for 8–10 hour days.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-based tasks such as clearing brush and trees as directed.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and debris.
• Set up and break down road signs and flag traffic.
• Operate trucks or other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
