Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support vegetation management operations. You will work from the ground, use handsaws, pruners, and gas-powered tools to clear brush and trees, and assist on storm restoration assignments as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, PPE compliance, outdoor work in varying weather, and coordination with a crew. A valid driver’s license and background check are required for driving duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drag heavy limbs and operate chainsaws in uneven terrain.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and keep work areas clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using hand tools.
• Load and unload logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Lower limbs with hand lines; use appropriate equipment.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and public.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance.
• Travel for storm restoration work when needed.
