Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Groundsperson to support vegetation management operations. The role requires working outdoors, loading and feeding brush into a woodchipper, and operating trucks and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining work areas, coordinating material handling, and ensuring safety for employees and the public. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are preferred, with CDL as a plus; background

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Pass background check and drug screen as required.

Responsibilities

• Work from the ground to keep work area clear of debris; use hand tools and equipment.
• Prepare and feed brush into woodchipper.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
• Operate various trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment; report major repairs.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards; flag traffic as needed.
• Work overtime and weekends as required by emergencies.
