Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a Groundsperson to support vegetation management crews. The role involves working from the ground to clear brush and trees, perform site clean-up, load materials, and assist with equipment operations and safety duties on job sites.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Travel for storm restoration work is required as needed. The position emphasizes safety, PPE, and adherence to instructions throughout long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen as required for this job.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
• Must maintain safety practices and PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Work from the ground to clear brush and trees and perform site clean-up.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed material to a brush chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance on vehicles.
