American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper for The Block in Austin, TX. You will maintain interior and exterior areas, assist with make-ready duties, and support the service team with cleaning, trash removal, and routine maintenance to keep the community looking its best.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn general labor and property maintenance. Training is provided, and safety practices are emphasized to ensure a well-presented, safe living

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general labor tasks and property maintenance.
• Ability to drive a golf cart and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with reading safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Willingness to follow multi-step instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Perform property groundskeeping including trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping, and/or shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas; stocking bathrooms.
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading supplies.
• Support make-ready duties including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover and turnover processes.
• Support pool maintenance and pressure washing as applicable.
• Operate facility equipment safely following protocols.
• Maintain organized shops, storage areas, and back-of-house environments.
