Job summary

American Campus Communities in Austin is seeking a Groundskeeper for East Campus Graduate Apartments to maintain interior and exterior spaces, common areas, and amenities, preserving the property's curb appeal.

You will perform cleaning and groundskeeping duties, assist the service team with make-ready and turnover, move furniture, support pool maintenance where applicable, and uphold safety and organization in shops and storage areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.
• General labor, housekeeping, and cleaning tasks.
• Ability to read safety rules and MSDS instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Property groundskeeping, including trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping and/or shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas; stocking bathrooms
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
• Support the service team with apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover process.
• Support the service team with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Safely operate all facility equipment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Assist in maintaining clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of house environments, ensuring all tools and supplies are organized.
• Other duties, as assigned by supervisor.
