Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Full-Time Porter to maintain a clean, welcoming community environment and assist with minor on-site repairs. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and friendly service for residents and staff.

The successful candidate will perform cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and will enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Must be able to speak English clearly for diverse communications.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs as part of daily tasks.
• Work indoors and outdoors with variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned.
• Touch up paint/breezeways, clean elevators, change light bulbs, and empty trash.
• Pressure wash buildings/sidewalks and clean fitness areas.
• Report property discrepancies to Supervisor and assist with minor maintenance.
• Maintain clubhouse, bathrooms, and overall grounds for residents and staff.
