Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Groundperson to support substation switching, maintenance, and construction under the area General Foreperson. The role emphasizes protective measures for preventative and reactive maintenance, and routine inspections while providing a safe work environment for staff and contractors.

Responsibilities include performing ground-based tasks, assisting with material assembly, traffic flagging, and partnering with apprentices under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work from the ground.
• Clears work area around structures.
• Excavates to assist in installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicates work to be performed to public and private property owners.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Foreperson related to utility line work.
• Assembles material on the ground to be installed by lineperson or apprentice.
• Flags traffic.
• Operates various tools for the work.
