Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman to support our team in constructing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist with a variety of field tasks and work under a Foreman to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites.

The role involves physical labor, travel to job sites (including out-of-state), and willingness to work outside normal hours with on-call rotation. A valid driver’s license is required and CDL is achievable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; able to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Will work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies and on‑call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
