Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew in building, repairing and maintaining lines and hardware, reporting to the Foreman.

The role involves outdoor work, safety-focused duties, and on-call rotations during outages or emergencies. Expect long travel and physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
• Perform physically rigorous labor in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair power lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Participate in outages, storms and emergency callouts.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.
