Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew, perform essential line work, and operate with a strong emphasis on safety under the supervision of a Foreman.

This role requires physical stamina, willingness to travel, and the ability to work extended hours, including emergencies and outages. Join a team dedicated to dependable power delivery and safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/push/pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Help install/repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and outages.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protective equipment.
