Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Ground Systems Fluids/Mechanical Design Engineer II to join the New Shepard program in Florida. You will contribute to test stand design, fluid and mechanical systems, and support from concept through commissioning, under guidance of senior engineers.

You will apply fluid mechanics, structural analysis, and system integration to high-pressure gas, cryogenic, and propellant systems, and collaborate with suppliers and field teams to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with fluid/mechanical systems in test operations.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and BPVC is preferred.
• Ability to create and interpret P&IDs and drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of fluid and mechanical systems for test facilities.
• Prepare P&IDs, models, drawings, eBOMs, and analyses under guidance.
• Assess hazards and participate in design reviews and PAR readiness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and support on-site fabrication and commissioning.
