Job summary

Veho is seeking a Ground Operations Lead in Illinois to orchestrate daily logistics tasks, lead a shift, and ensure safe, efficient operations with cross-functional teams and driver partners. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety, and reliable execution in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires at least 1 year in logistics or operations management, a smartphone, and preferred forklift certification.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in logistics, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
• Owns a modern smartphone and can navigate apps daily.
• Forklift certification and/or experience operating box trucks is preferred.
• Proficiency with technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to complete a comprehensive background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, nights, holidays, and weekends as required by operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time logistics operations.
• Navigate technology platforms to manage changes, re-routes, and disruptions.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
• Operate forklift and potentially a box truck as needed for material movement.
• Provide high levels of customer service to driver partners and internal teams.
• Maintain strong communication to effectively lead a shift.
