ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Install, maintain, and service irrigation systems.
2. Perform regular system maintenance, including starting up systems for use in warmer months.
3. Inspecting and repairing sprinkler heads, pipes, and other components.
4. Winterize systems to prevent damage during freezing weather.
5. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and completed work orders.
6. Assist with snow removal on all sidewalks, utilizing snow shovels, small equipment with plows; follow with the application of Ice Melt.
7. Load and unload trucks and other conveyances.
8. Move supplies and materials to proper locations by wheelbarrow or hand trucks.
9. Dig, fill, and tamp earth excavations.
10. Level ground using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake.
11. Shovel concrete, soil, and asphalt.
12. Clean culverts and ditches.
13. Cut trees and brush.
14. Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, drills, air hammers, earth tampers, generators, air compressors, sump pumps, concrete saws, routers, etc.
15. Trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.
16. Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.
17. Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
18. Water lawns and shrubs during dry periods using hoses or activating sprinkler systems.
19. Pick up and cart away leaves, paper, or other litter.
20. Spread concrete and asphalt on jobs using appropriate hand tools.
21. Clean hand tools, machinery, and work area.
22. Spread sand and salt on icy roads and walkways.
23. Report accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations timely.
24. Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
