About This Role
This is an entry-level position supporting all phases of utility construction for telecom projects, including placing poles, installing underground conduit, and performing maintenance and testing. Responsibilities include general labor duties as directed by supervisors, operating equipment, and ensuring safety.
Responsibilities
Loading, driving, delivery, digging, and handling construction materials and equipment. Tasks include hand digging, installing underground cabling, operating heavy machinery, working in various environments, maintaining safety, assisting crew members, site setup and cleanup, and understanding buried utilities.
Qualifications
Must pass drug and background checks, possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, have basic knowledge of utility trucks and tools, and be able to work in all weather conditions. A Class A CDL is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous construction experience, ability to travel, and experience in telecommunications are preferred.
Working Conditions
Full-time outdoor work, exposed to weather, noise, and potential hazards like natural gas and electrical shock. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform physical tasks as required.
