Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assess patient conditions, provide basic life support, and stabilize patients for transport. You will drive ambulances, coordinate with other services, and document patient care.

The role requires EMT Basic, BLS, a valid driver license, and state EMT license within 120 days.

Qualifications

• EMT Basic Course completed and license in state of operation within 120 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current and valid.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess patients' conditions to determine injuries or illnesses.
• Provide basic life support, CPR, and first aid.
• Stabilize patients at scene and during transport to facilities.
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or facilities.
• Operate and drive ambulances or emergency vehicles as needed.
• Communicate with other emergency services and families.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper stocking.
• Document care provided and patient condition accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with protocols.
• CHEMS follow-up care to prevent readmissions.
