Job summary

Capital Health seeks an EMT to perform patient assessment and basic life support during intra-facility transport and 911 assignments. You will maintain readiness, complete transfer paperwork, and report carefully to receiving staff, following hospital policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, EMT certification (NREMT or NJ/NY/Atlantic EMS Council), and an unrestricted driver’s license. Training includes BLS and safety-focused patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT certification from NREMT or NJ/NY/Atlantic EMS Council required.
• Unrestricted driver's license; reciprocity may be required for NJ.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched emergency assignments expeditiously.
• Maintain readiness to respond within sixty seconds in most cases.
• Provide basic life support using age-appropriate care.
• Complete patient transfer paperwork per policy and report to receiving staff.
