Intermountain Health in Elko, Nevada is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to rapidly respond to emergencies, assess patient conditions, provide basic life support, and stabilize patients for transport.

Qualifications

Successful completion of AEMT Course.
Must obtain AEMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
Assess patients and determine nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
Provide basic life support and administer first aid, CPR, and other BLS measures.
Stabilize patients at the scene and during transport to medical facilities.
Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles safely and responsibly.
Communicate and coordinate with other emergency services and families.
Maintain and stock medical equipment and ensure proper function.
Document care provided and patient condition accurately.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
