Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) in Michigan to join our team. You will learn grooming skills through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming, bathe and groom dogs, and engage with neighbors and their pets in a friendly, community-focused environment.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and learning via our free training program. A flexible schedule with weekend/evening availability is important, and a starter tool kit is provided upon enrollment in the

Qualifications

Experience in retail or with pets is a plus but not required.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods.
Ability to review videos and take tests online.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must pass a drug screening where applicable and be at least 18.

Responsibilities

Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming.
Learn and demonstrate skills through the online distance program to become a groomer.
Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
Develop long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming area inviting.
Complete Safety Training certification.
Assist store team during grooming downtime.
